Project

Many! I worked with the Experience Design team for more than ten years.  I was part of the original launch of Xfinity X1, developed the voice and experience around the Xfinity xFi app and Xfiinty Home. Projects varied week to week and month to month, as I partnered with a variety of internal teams on a host of deliverables. 

Challenges

  • Ensuring every product and experience “spoke” in the branded Comcast voice
  • Aligning copy for all elements of a product launch – from packaging to UX screen messaging
  • Breaking down complex, often technical content into easily digestible content
  • Identifying pain points in user flows before they became problematic

 

Solution

  • Leveraged in-house research to determine user behaviors around specific technology in order to create the most effective copy for tutorials, product onboarding, setup and more
  • Consulted with brand teams, packaging, marketing and others to ensure messaging was on brand and dovetailed with other marketing effort
  • Using the rationale of “copy can’t fix a broken foundation” studied and adjusted flows and features to avoid heavy text or worse, error messages
