CLIENT: operation eggplant

Project

Create an awareness campaign to generate  social "buzz" around what - and who - is missing from the nation's heartbeat bills.

Challenge

Anonymous ownership due to  safety issues in southern states and finding the tone for such a controversial and provocative effort

Solution

Created branded awareness campaign partnering with popular adult toy maker Emojibator.  Plan included an email component, site build and social posts encouraging people to learn more about  the heartbeat bills that ignore the "eggplant" in the womb. 

Website

The Eggplant Emojibator Giveaway offered an opportunity to send an eggplant vibrator to people in Texas, where the most stringent of heartbeat bills were being introduced.
 


The idea played on words and the meaning of the eggplant emoji, tapping into popular culture and the political climate around the issue.

Site visitors could send an Eggplant Emojibator, start conversations on socials and explore resources to learn more, donate and volunteer.

A choice of cards were offered depending on the message the user wanted to send.

Operation Eggplant's website continues to serve as a resource and reminder that these conversations are ongoing.
